Thomas Mainardi

Thomas Mainardi, geboren 1984, selbsterlernter Künstler, lebt und arbeitet in Paris und seiner Heimatstadt Lille, Frankreich. Die Malerei ist für ihn das ideale Mittel auszudrücken, was er fühlt. Seine Werke zeichnen sich durch ein einzigartiges Spektrum an Farben und Emotionen aus, bei denen es u.a. um Frauen, Macht, Geld, Gewalt, Liebe, Religion, Sex, Natur, Ungerechtigkeit und den Tod geht. Die Menschheit ist für ihn eine unerschöpfliche Quelle der Inspiration. Seine Werke zeigen Einflüsse aus dem abstrakten Expressionismus, Street Art und Pop Art. Seine Werke sind international auf diversen Ausstellungen zu bewundern (Paris, NYC, Beinjing, Shanghai, Dublin, Graz, Tel Aviv, Casablanca,…).

Thomas Mainardi über seine Kunst:

„A force marked by a certain melancholy resides in many of my paintings. Contrasts of feelings affect me, human being is at the heart of my work, with a real recurrence of female iconography.Human relationships nourish existing questions and identify themselves through their contradictions. I try to represent the most symptomatic sentimental, psychologicall and socio-cultural wanderings of our consumerist society, in which the cult of the individual is more palpable than ever. I call this new personal style POP EXPRESSIONISM.“
